It has been a while since I have done an Arduino post.
This one is a motor controller using PWM signal to switch a mosfet. I really like the idea of using the OLED display to output the input and output controller values.

Here is a VCO (Voltage controlled ocillator). A project I was really keen on doing a well documented post on but it fell short and never worked despite my efforts to fault find. I think the breadboard has too much electrical noise going on and all the thresholds for logic has been compromised.
Need to start something new.

For some inflight reading to Honalulu I picked up this educational book. (published in 1994) Courtesy of a second hand book shop in Bendigo. To my surprise there is some great information on the Z80 cpu with example assembler programming included, all gets me super keen to build a caveman computer in the near future. So i picked up this aweosme book at the used bookshop in Woodend a few weeks back.
Published in 1981 It is packed full of building block circuits.
This time i have built a notch filter, it is supposed to notch at 1k but my filter was pulling right down at a centre frequency of 1.1k maybe due to parasitic capacitance of the breadboard or the extra lead length of my compontents.
Either way its a really cool book.

Pulse stretching (doubling) circuit
Top channel: stretched output signal.
Bottom channel: square waveform from my signal generator.
I found this circuit whilst flicking though the TCU schematics for the B Class tram.
The circuit itself is designed to monitor the signals from the rotary digitisers on each tram axle. #74serieslogic #breadboardelectronics #electricalengineering

Blue trace is the input signal yellow is the output. This type of circuit could be used in rf receivers where input signals vary in amplitude and the output remains constant.

Inverting the Arduino +5V to produce a -5V rail only takes a few diodes and caps.

Static ram programming excercise using the TOSHIBA TC5517APL-2.
Here I have manually programmed 8 addresses each with 8 bits of data the results are breath taking. Great little project inspired by Ben Eaters youtube channel.
